Pioneer Dj DJM A9 4-Channel DJ Mixer
Pioneer Dj DJM A9 4-Channel DJ Mixer
General
Setting the bar ever higher, Pioneer DJ drop the DJM-A9: a 4-channel DJ mixer that not only succeeds the DJM-900NXS2 but outperforms it in every possible way, with brand-new components like ESS Technology 32-bit A/D and D/A converters guaranteeing next-gen sound quality while kitting out the DJM-A9 for an ultra-professional club-or-festival set-up.
Evolved Feel
Compared to the DJM-900NXS2, the DJM-A9 supports an even more streamlined workflow, giving you ample free space around the EQ faders, brighter channel section LEDs, and smoother channel faders. In addition, Pioneer DJ have installed a third-generation MAGVEL crossfader for supple transitions, and the Sound Color FX section has been upgraded with a Center Lock that stops the knob from rotating past the centre, preventing you from accidentally tweaking the opposite parameter.
Advanced Beat FX
While the Sound Color FX section is there for colouring in the overall sound, the Beat FX section allows you to manipulate the groove. Though it’s nothing new for veteran DJs, the Beat FX feature now comes with a highly intuitive touch-capacitive colour display as well as three new effects (Mobius, Triplet Filter and Triplet Roll), bringing the total up to seventeen.
Expanded Connectivity
What’s also good news is that the microphone section now includes a phantom-powered port for hooking up a condenser microphone, but you also get three fresh effects plus a reverb effect that can be activated at will to enhance your vocals. You’re even free to connect two PC/Mac systems at the same time, and the DJM-A9 features a built-in Bluetooth receiver for wireless audio. Lastly, the extensive I/O section supports dedicated channel assignment and both the headphone mini-jack and the headphone jack ports come with individual cue and volume controls.
